In-Yo Prism - Self Expression Music review by Marc Sound


I thoroughly enjoyed this record. In Yo prism brings to mind many late night hours hanging out in your favorite chill-zone recovering from a night of dancing non-stop. This is the sort of music one would hope to hear at any after hours hot spot. In Yo Prism is stylish and evocative. Incorporating a sort of atmospheric safari feel to the whole mix while keeping you thoroughly engaged in the beats which often times are quite more evolved than you would expect. I feel that In Yo Prism definitely is trying to convey a message- perhaps the message is to apply patience to an otherwise hectic and unforgiving world. Perhaps the message like the music is ever unfolding. On the flip side. I would really have liked to have heard more vocals. While it is fantastic to create your own storyline ideas with the song, it would have been more exciting if perhaps we would have had a guided tour through certain parts. Then again, this may not be in the cards and the record could more than likely stand on it's own exactly how it is. I would have felt more connected had there been more of a human presence and would definitely be thrilled to see what the next musical endeavor holds for In Yo Prism.
